The Old Ways

Go back to your old ways,
Forget what I made you,
Lose yourself everday,
A little more every night,
Through doors to the legs,
Legs back to the door; let them walk.
Names, addresses and numbers
Obscuring your inamoratos love.

Make up to conceal your sins and vice,
Pretty dress to hide the flaws to look nice,
Hat to hide the evil thoughts in your head,
Stockings to hide your legs whereabouts,
In another mans bed.

Trade in love as if it were stuff,
Old habits die hard,
I know you always prefer The Old Ways.

Pretty Girls

My dress is pretty; the fur soft and dark,
Face delicate; twinkling eyes and twitching lips,
Perfect features a man would crave for,
Care enough to spend the night?

You wouldn’t be the first to say “no”,
But probably the one to regret.
Think not twice,
I am more worth than what money has ever bought you.
Leave the currency on the table,
It’s free to look, but it costs to touch,
Even pretty girls need to pay the bills.

A Dark Drizzle

Dark nimbus clouds came to me
in the form of a girl.
My own guardian angels,
are playing ploys on me.
A look of you alone, makes
old memories come dance in front of me,
Hence my heart feels disconsolate.

Hey damsel, do tell me a truth,
Does your smile to the others,
ever divulge the rile you hold for me?

Tell me, how much does it cost
For you to utter a word to me,
or at least to steal a look at me?

You transpired into my life as a lightning,
and now, have left me annihilated.
Your beautiful eyes would have caused
me no grief at all,
if they were well-concealed,
behind your eye lids.

By making a net out of your splendor,
to cage me and, to kidnap my heart
You were the one who bestowed upon me the craving to love you,
And now you leave me hurt?
I know not, where you learnt such an enchantment
you exhausted on me.

I still live, but in a reverie,
to be granted a boon to hold your hand once again.

From the Depths of Darkness

One left him dead,
Buried under the layers of soil and dirt,
Like a coffin containing a dead body,
She forsake him to the damp and the gloom,
Into the depths of darkness underground.

The other foraged for him,
Through the damp and the gloom,
Unmindful of the layers of soil and dirt,
Realizing the potential of his existence,
She seeped through the depths of darkness underground.

She had the touch of life,
Blended as a soul mate,
Nurtured him and to nutrition him,
Held him strong under the damp and the gloom,
To break through the depths of darkness.

One had buried him to the ground,
Forgetting that he is a seed,
The other had foraged for him in the ground,
Knowing that he is a seed,
To realize his destiny, through the depths of darkness.

He rose through the damp and gloom,
Strong and steady, growing every day.
Why would he try to blend in,
While he was born to stand apart,
Securing his unique place in nature, from the depths of darkness.

Though the wind left him lonely and deserted,
The role was indispensable though,
Without the wind,
Who would know the importance of water,
For the seed to break through the depths of darkness.

The flow of the wind, and seepage of the water,
Are as necessary a process, the vicious cycle continues,
Is all but a part of life,
Let the wind flow, for the water to reach you,
Till then, wait for it alone in the depths of darkness.

The Brittle Smile

Parched lips, into open legs,
That’s what you have, to offer anyone.
A kiss of lust, with a deep release,
It’s what they pay with, for the night.

Tamed hair and meticulous makeup,
For each man to abuse,
Lack of dignity, more shame,
All because, you choose to.

Naked dates, drugs and alcohol,
Fishing is world’s oldest profession,
You have only changed the bait.
Why blame the attitude of the mothers,
Or the regret of your fathers.

Yet another amour,
To the worthless sentiments of your inamorato,
You speak to another stranger,
Because, love doesn’t pay the bills.

Sell yourself to lust, tell another lie,
Cry yourself to sleep, sing another song

Fake love and real pain,
The smile as frail as glass,
The brittle smile,
Breaking at every passing man.

The Unopened Book

You think you saw me bare,
Because of the clothes I took off.
You think you saw me cry,
Because of some tears from my eyes.
Tell me, what is my dream?
Tell me, what breaks my heart?

You have seen me exposed,
You have embraced my body.
You have felt my lips,
Like that of a soul mate.
Tell me, something about my childhood,
Tell me, a story of mine you were not a part of.

You have seen it lie around,
Never cared enough to open it.
A silent reminder in the closet,
You expected to be always there.
A book you once found,
But never got around to opening.

The Triumph of the Will

The quill felt cozy,
Embracing the warmth of his fingers,
The ink dripped,
Eager with expectations,
His command over language returned.

The maple wood didn’t break,
The strings wouldn’t corrode,
Ever eager for his return,
When he put the bow to the string,
The music was as enchanting as ever.

The audience held their breath,
His supporters wouldn’t leave him,
Their applause never meant to be withheld,
No wasted actions, no wasted words,
He was the orator they always knew.

The sacrifices were made,
They knew he wouldn’t notice,
But that didn’t perturb them,
Their love was rewarded,
When they had their friend back.

The dreams were back,
The universe conspired to help him,
As unfair advantage, life was so not fair,
The fate welcomed him with open arms,
For it is to be The Triumph of the Will
