The Criminal

Criminal under the court of law,
She was charged with a long list of crimes:
Theft, Murder, Molesting,
Bribery, Disruption of peace, Identity Theft,
Shoplifting, Drugging, Kidnapping,
Felony, Conspiracy and Assault.

She had stolen my heart, Thief!
She had murdered my loneliness, Murderer!
She had molested my sorrow, Molester!
She had bribed my mind, to take the hearts side, Felon!
Disrupted my peace of mind with her constant presence, Lawbreaker!
Robbed my identity, Identity Thief!
Shoplifted all my thoughts, Shoplifter!
Drugged my days with a strong love potion, Drug Abuser!
Kidnapped all my senses and held them at ransom, Kidnapper!
Conspired with my friends for the cake assault, Conspirator!
Assaulted me with kisses and hugs, Assaulter!

In the court of love, She was convicted,
Verdict pronounced as cupid held his arrow poised,
She was sentenced!
Sentenced to be jailed,
Imprisoned within the strong and inescapable walls of his love,
The term of the sentence was an eternity.

She Don’t Like The Lights

The candlelight was doused,
And the curtains were drawn,
As her twinkling chocolate brown eyes,
Adjusted to the darkness,
Silver on her finger was the only other object that shined.

He drew her closer to him,
And embraced her in a warm hug,
For he knew,
She liked hugs more than the kisses,
And that, she don’t like the lights.

Warm breath on her neck,
A soft whisper in her ear,
And a passionate kiss on her lips,
She liked the dark,
Where she would share him with no one else.

The nights watch was no more a problem,
The sandalwoods were no more precious,
The silent companion was no more an intruder,
The shooting star somehow knew,
She don’t like the lights.

On the other side of midnight,
In a fairy tale world,
Where the Pandora’s Box lay unopened,
In the darkness, they kissed and they loved,
For she don’t like the lights.

When the Stars Shine Down

Barriers were broken,
No secrets were withheld,
Not because of the rules of the game,
But at the pleasure of the company.

Late at night,
Sleep at bay,
Amidst laughter and silent revelations,
A dance under the moonlight.

Who knew this is how it would be,
When the bottle was swiveled,
To pick its victim.

Is it a tryst with the Truth,
Or a silent plunge into the feral,
To Dare the destiny.

Who knew this is how it would be?
Was it the fulfilled desire,
Wished upon a shooting star?
Or was it the blessed yearnings,
Of Two hearts in Love?

When the stars shined down,
By my side, I saw love,
Surrounded by friendship.

When the stars shined down,
I knew I was not the same,

When the stars shined down,
I knew things would not be the same.

When the stars shine down,
Our smiles were brighter,
Even to the envy of the stars.

The Naked Face

Respectable in the circle of intellects,
Charismatic till the lights are on,
Receptive when the audiences applaud,
A perfect gentleman in a social setting,
Shrewd administrator in opinion of his colleagues.

The world is a stage,
And he entertains a constant audience,
And so he keeps his mask on,
Not many acknowledge, the stranger he sees in the mirror,
Not many recognize, the man behind the mask.

But when you kiss,
I need you to know that,
Whenever you kiss,
You kiss the man behind the mask,
You kiss My Naked Face.
