The Punishment

Unfaithful to him,
He had to punish her,
He would love her no more,
The punishment meant hardly anything to her,
In fact a relief, to detach herself from him.

Receptive to the handsome and the young,
Love was postponed to another day,
Handsome men replacing good looking ones,
Dates, drinks, parties and lust,
The day would go on forever,
And the night would never end

When the first hair whitened,
And the first wrinkle appeared,
The first man left.
As time took toll on her youth and beauty,
The way she left them,
Men left her for a better one.

Alive but lifeless,
Surrounded by so many, but still so lonely,
Lustful life but a loveless one.

In darkness and in solitude,
She realized how grave The Punishment was.

The Old Ways

Go back to your old ways,
Forget what I made you,
Lose yourself everday,
A little more every night,
Through doors to the legs,
Legs back to the door; let them walk.
Names, addresses and numbers
Obscuring your inamoratos love.

Make up to conceal your sins and vice,
Pretty dress to hide the flaws to look nice,
Hat to hide the evil thoughts in your head,
Stockings to hide your legs whereabouts,
In another mans bed.

Trade in love as if it were stuff,
Old habits die hard,
I know you always prefer The Old Ways.

Pretty Girls

My dress is pretty; the fur soft and dark,
Face delicate; twinkling eyes and twitching lips,
Perfect features a man would crave for,
Care enough to spend the night?

You wouldn’t be the first to say “no”,
But probably the one to regret.
Think not twice,
I am more worth than what money has ever bought you.
Leave the currency on the table,
It’s free to look, but it costs to touch,
Even pretty girls need to pay the bills.
